SCOPE: Construction of new community sports club rooms combining the local bowls, croquet and golf clubs, with a function centre, public bar, amenities and administration. Two world-class indoor bowling greens, free of internal columns. An outdoor croquet green, complete with sub-surface drainage and external lighting for night-time matches. Also constructed were both storm water retention for re-use and detention for flood prevention. Total area 5,200m2

DESIGN: The building is spacious, naturally ventilated and filled with natural light. The building needed to be cost effective so was designed as a light weight construction. The building is orientated north/south to allow natural light to spill through energy efficient high level poly-carbonate sheeting. Aluminum louvers to front and rear of the building, allow for natural ventilation to flow. The design of wide-span steel trusses allowed a cost effective yet aesthetically pleasing building
